Happy 4th Birthday!

Hard to believe I am now the mom of a 4 year old, where oh where did the last 4 years go?

I love birthdays and want them to be something my kids remember when they are older. This year I thought I would give L some balloons to wake up to.I also made sure his gifts were ready to go on the kitchen table.

 
Cupcakes for breakfast! Yep on birthday's we all sing happy birthday and eat cupcakes!

and the 'Red plate' for the birthday boy. This is a tradition from my childhood, on your birthday or birthday celebration you get to use the 'Red plate' that reads "you are special today", in fact we still get it out when we go to my parents for special dinners!


 I asked the birthday boy what he wanted to do in the morning and his answer was to go to Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center and McDonald's for lunch.

he would not look up from his lunch :( 

 After a fun afternoon we headed home to rest so that the fun could continue once daddy got home. 
The fun was to include Chili's for dinner and .....

a trip to the toy store for one last present
